London, 1889 and a time-stranded Doctor needs the help of an old friend to fix the TARDIS… but is beset by pursuers sent by Queen Victoria herself! How is this connected to a previous tale of the Sixth Doctor—and a Fourth Doctor adventure that hasn't happened yet? And what will happen if the Doctor is captured by the Torchwood Institute? Tony Lee and Paul Grist tell this special standalone tale!
Let's be honest here. I had a chance to do a Steampunk Doctor Who tale. With HG Wells. And I was allowed to put Torchwood in it. Of course I was going to do this. And when Paul Grist was signed up as the artist, I think I actually had a party.
This is the last of my one shots and mini series before I began work on the ongoing, and so I had a chance to really play with the whole Victorian 'Torchwood', ten years old and looking for a place in the cosmos...
I hope you enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed writing it.
